ATLANTA Topper Worldwide, a chauffeured transportation provider, added three Royale Ford Fusion Hybrid Ls to its fleet in April with another three on order.

By adding the Fusion Hybrid L to its fleet, Topper as of May was the only operator in Atlanta with full-sized hybrid sedans. The green fleet vehicles complement Topper's ongoing green initiatives at its facilities.

"Our clients have been asking for hybrid vehicles, but up until this point there has been no viable option for a full sized hybrid sedan," said Danny Bacher, CEO of Topper Worldwide. "Royale has taken the lead by building the Fusion L Hybrids and we have gotten rave reviews from our clients about the vehicle."

Fuel prices are expected to continue rising. The Fusion L Hybrid gets up to 41 mpg and has head and leg room comparable to that of a Lincoln Executive L Town Car. Manufacturer Royale Limousine Manufacturers of Haverhill, Mass., takes a Ford Fusion sedan and stretches it six inches for added legroom. The vehicle is built according to Ford's QVM standards.

Topper Worldwide is a family owned and operated business founded in 1996 by president Miki Bacher. Although Topper does not release exact fleet size, it has grown from a company with one vehicle into a solid mid-sized fleet operator. Topper provides late model chauffeured sedans, hybrids, SUVs, vans, limousines, SUV limousines, limo party buses, mini coach buses, and coach buses.
