The Conference of Automotive Remarketing (CAR) Experience, an all-new, uncompromising virtual counterpart of CAR, will be held online from Oct. 12-16, 2020, and an updated schedule for the event has been revealed.

Industry professionals can RSVP for the event now, which is a new, unique opportunity for the remarketing community anywhere and is no cost for auto remarketing professionals.

The first day, Monday, Oct. 12, 2020, includes educational sessions on the latest trends in daily rental vehicle remarketing; how auto auctions are planning for changing times; and a discussion examining the strategies and tactics independent auction owners are deploying to help their customers prosper through the pandemic and beyond.

The second day will kick off with a discussion on how to develop an active threat preparedness plan, followed by a discussion on future trends in residual values. A session later in the day will provide a forecast of the economic trends that will impact resale values in 2020/2021 calendar years.

On the beginning of the third day of the virtual event will be a panel discussion on the latest trends influencing remarketing strategies of commercial fleet management companies, followed by a educational session on developments to improve vehicle condition report accuracy and consistency. Following this will be a session titled "Reflections from the Pandemic."

The fourth day will start with a keynote discussion titled “Beyond the Pandemic and After the Elections,” which will be sponsored by the National Auto Auction Association (NAAA). Later in the day, there will be a seminar on challenges that face consignors today and tomorrow, followed by a session on how top performers solve reconditioning delays, which will be sponosred by Sherwin-Williams.

On the final day, Friday, Oct. 16, 2020., the day begins with an International Automotive Remarketers Alliance (IARA) consignor panel discussion titled “Consignor Strategies to Maximize Residual Values as Inventory Volumes Dramatically Increase in the Wholesale Market.” Following this will be a seminar on what role independent auctions will play in defining the future of the auction industry. Later on the final day will be another interactive digital session.
