The Isuzu D-Max one-ton pickup truck, which first debuted in Australia in September 2020, has been awarded a five-star rating by the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP), which comprehensively assesses the safety of new vehicles.

The Isuzu pickup scored the five-star rating under new 2020 protocols, according to the automaker.

The all-new Isuzu D-MAX incorporates Isuzu's Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), which includes Autonomous Emergency Braking; Forward Collision Warning; Lane Departure Warning; Lane Departure Prevention; Lane Keep Assist; and Emergency Lane Keeping

It is also equipped with a multi-collision brake that applies the brakes to mitigate a subsequent impact when a vehicle has been involved in a collision.

These safety systems are highly rated by the ANCAP.
