For fleets searching for a great alternative without sacrificing style, capacity, or performance — look no further than the Model Year 2021 Audi e-tron and e-tron Sportback.

With the introduction of the Premium trim level for this model year, the Audi e-tron has a fleet friendly base starting MSRP of $65,9002 making it an economical choice for fleets looking to add electric vehicles (EVs) for their executives, top managers, and/or sales personnel.

Capacity and Productivity

While the beautiful design and innovative aspect of an Audi electric vehicle will allow fleets to make a bold statement, we understand a fleet vehicle needs to be functional above all. The Audi e-tron and e-tron Sportback can deliver both productivity and capacity.

The 95 kWh dual asynchronous electric motors deliver an impressive 355 hp and 414 lb.-ft of torque. With Boost engaged, however, those numbers spike up to 402 hp and 490 lb.-ft. With an EPA estimated range of 218 miles for the 2021 Sportback and 222 miles for the 2021 e-tron3 the Audi e-tron and e-tron Sportback deliver the power fleet drivers need to get their work done with confidence.

As for capacity, the Audi e-tron delivers that too. The e-tron features 57 cubic feet of cargo space, and the e-tron Sportback features 54.5 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded down and an available 4,000 pounds of towing capacity4. An optional trailer hitch can allow the Audi e-tron SUV and e-tron Sportback the ability to showcase an added level of productivity.

Charging Conveniently – DC Fast Charging

With new vehicle paradigms come the need for new approaches to common operational imperatives. In the fleet world, for those operating with EVs, that includes charging. Luckily for fleet customers who make an eligible factory purchase by April 30, 2021, the Audi e-tron and e-tron Sportback will be equipped with various bundles of DC fast charging on the Electrify America network.  Offers and details will be available on the Electrify America App (either via iOS or Android Mobile)5.

The Audi e-tron and e-tron Sportback are not only designed to be compatible with the more than 16,000 public chargers available all around the country, but have been designed to operate with 150 kW DC ultra-fast chargers as well. Drivers using one of these ultra-fast charging stations can achieve about 80% charge in 30 minutes6.

Electrify America’s nationwide network of 150 and 350 kW DC fast chargers can deliver a charge at the e-tron’s maximum charge rate in order to minimize the time spent on stop-overs. Over 500 stations with more than 2,200+ individual chargers provide coverage along various highways and interstates as well as in around 30 major metro areas. By the end of 2021, Electrify America targets to grow its station count to 800 with around 3,500 DC fast chargers in operation.

All eligible factory ordered e-trons come with generous charging benefits for fleet drivers at no additional cost: Depending on the number of vehicles purchased, e-trons may come with 1,000 kWh, 2,000 kWh or 4,000 kWh of charging on the Electrify America network within the first four years of ownership. This can equate to more than 10, 20, or even 40 battery charges. The equivalent value of these benefits at Electrify America’s current kWh Pass rate is $430, $860, and $1,720 respectively.

Fleet drivers can manage their assigned vehicle’s charging benefits and conveniently start and stop sessions in Electrify America’s App5 that’s used to enroll in the program.

While the charging benefits can allow fleet drivers to go the distance, having the convenience of charging at home is one of the distinct advantages fleet drivers can have when they’re assigned an EV for their work and personal use.

Financial Overview

From a procurement perspective, adding an EV can be an expensive up-front purchase. Fortunately, there are a number of incentives fleets may be able to take advantage of to help offset some of the initial costs related to adding an EV, including $6,000 off invoice for eligible direct factory orders via select fleet management companies.

The bottom line is, fleets don’t have to sacrifice style or performance to meet their new initiatives. The Audi e-tron and e-tron Sportback deliver everything a modern fleet requires — style, capacity, performance — in an economic and innovative package.
