Pride Group Enterprises recently reserved 150 Tesla Electric Semis with the option to increase the order to 500 trucks.

“We believe that electrification is the way of the future as we work together across multiple industries to reduce our carbon footprint,” said Sam Johal Pride Group Enterprises CEO. “As well, we have the option to increase our order as we gauge customer acceptance of this new technology.”

Pride will determine the placement of the vehicles by considering states and Canadian provinces have a substantial electric commercial vehicle environment, such as California. To support the arrival of these and other battery-electric Class 8 trucks, Pride has been investing in the necessary infrastructure for parking, charging, and maintenance at all of its locations.

“Our reservation with Tesla is the first of many, and we continue to work with all OEM partners and have more exciting projects in the works,” says Aman Johal, vice president of operations.
