The U.S. federal government selected Uber and Lyft as the ride-hailing provider for public agencies, representing 4 million employees and contractors across the U.S., Reuters reports.
The General Services Administration issued the final five-year contract last week. It is potentially worth up $810 million.
The new contract allows Uber and Lyft to formally launch their services within government agencies and work with officials to promote ride-hailing.
