A Fleet Auto News (FAN) reader survey has concluded that using fleet cars as mobile billboards by labelling them with company logos helps create awareness of the brand and business.
The survey results illustrate why many cars, SUVs, vans and trucks can now be seen with corporate signage.
FAN survey respondents also believe marketing and sales – not fleet – should control vehicle branding. The fleet manager, however, coordinates the signage installation when new vehicles are delivered, monitors vehicle condition while in service, and arranges for touchups if the vehicle is damaged.
Other survey results include just 43% of respondents drive company-branded vehicles, and only 17% of respondents said they would consider changing employers if they had to drive a fleet car displaying company signage.
