Volvo Trucks will host a global online event October 12, 3 p.m. CET, to help advance the transformation to electric transports. The event will not only answer common questions, but also highlight important business aspects of electromobility, according to Volvo.

In addition to Volvo Trucks President Roger Alm and company experts, the event will include representatives from large transport buyers, such as Amazon and IKEA, as well as executives from transport companies DFDA in Europe and Manhattan Beer Distributors in the U.S.

Citing the urgency to fight climate change, Alm stated, “We are the forerunners in electric transports and are working hard to initiate this very necessary technology shift. Now many pieces in the puzzle are coming together, making it possible for more haulers to dramatically lower their CO2 emissions. This event will explain how it can be done.”

“With this initiative we want to encourage transport buyers and haulers to take their first important steps towards electromobility. Offering fossil-free transport will be a key to staying competitive,” said Alm.

Event registration is available at the Volvo Trucks site.
