Renault Introduces All-New Hybrid Astral SUV

Renault has unveiled its all-new hybrid model, the Astral SUV, the next milestone in the automaker’s “Renaulution” strategic plan to dominate the medium-sized (C-segment) market.

The new Austral introduces a brand-new “full hybrid” self-charging engine and offers various electrification technologies including the E-TECH hybrid motors on a 400V network for up to 200 hp, and two petrol engines: a 130 HP 48V Mild Hybrid Advanced and a 140 HP / 160 HP 12V Mild Hybrid.

The Austral’s other features include an air conditioning system that allows normal operation in any weather, 4CONTROL four-wheel steering and the Multi-Sense advanced system providing three pre-set driving modes: Eco, Comfort and Sport. With a fourth mode, Perso, drivers have full control over every setting. offers the driver full control over every setting.

The model’s connected maintenance service, linked with the My Renault platform, provides remove checkups and guidance. User-intuitive and easy to personalize, the Austral’s OpenR Link multimedia system integrates Google services and apps: Google Maps for navigation, Google Assistant for hands-free help and Google Play.

The All-New Renault Austral will go on sale in the last quarter 2022.
