eDriving, a provider of digital driver risk management solutions, just announced new plans to integrate collision detection and emergency response services into its Mentor Smartphone App.

This latest move is the result of an international collaboration with two key partners. Specifically, eDriving will tap the Bosch Service Solutions emergency call service using the patented Sfara Automatic Crash Detection and Personal SOS technology so organizations can better protect drivers in the event a collision occurs.

Both company’s technologies will be integrated into the Mentor, ensuring your fleet drivers aren’t stranded on the side of the road and providing organization’s peace of mind when you need it most.

Sfara’s on-device crash detection technology recognizes collisions and suppresses false positives. In the event of a crash, Bosch eCall services and technology automatically establishes a voice connection to an emergency call point, where an expert responds and coordinates speedy help for the driver.

The eCall service from Bosch currently supports more than 20 million vehicles connected to its platform and processes more than 1.7 million emergency calls per year. The service is available in more than 50 countries and multiple languages.

Between 20 and 50 million crash-related injuries occur worldwide each year. This latest collaboration between eDriving, Bosch and Sfara is designed to ensure quick emergency response for drivers after a crash. For organizations, the integration of these technologies into Mentor is one more way to protect the safety of your fleet.
