James Rooney Gains Highest Level of Accreditation from The Association Of Fleet Professionals (AFP)

James Rooney, a fleet engineer with Centrica, gained a distinction at the Advanced Vehicle Fleet Management level, a course run by the Academy of the Association of Fleet Professionals (AFP).

Ronnie Gillman, training manager of the AFP, presented a special award to James at the recent AFP conference in recognition of his outstanding achievement. Other fleet managers to gain certification at the introductory stage level from the AFP Academy were:

● Sarah Turner - Altrad Group

● Charlotte Handley - Grafton GB

● Morgan Migallos - Close Brothers

Rooney, who manages a fleet of 9,000 commercial vehicles in the UK and a further 200 worldwide, told us what the certification entailed and how it would help him improve his management of the Centrica fleet in this exclusive interview with Global Fleet Management.
