Mitigating the post-Brexit export processes that have created increased workloads for Republic of Ireland (ROI) buyers exporting from the UK, used-vehicle marketplace BCA has launched a new Vehicle Export Service for its customers.

To eliminate the need to pay import or UK VAT upfront and improve cash flow, the new service handles all administration such as export and import declarations, as well as door-to-door vehicle logistics for purchases, promising a 14-day delivery window.

A free service to all BCA trade accounts, the charges per vehicle are fixed, “irrespective of the value of vehicle purchased,” says the company.

Once new or existing BCA customers in the ROI complete the online form, a BCA team will contact them to set up the service.

“Customers tell us that since Brexit, this process has become more complex, time-consuming and convoluted, and BCA’s new Vehicle Export Service is proactively addressing these issues,” said Stuart Pearson, BCA COO UK.

With the new service, ROI customers can access the wide range of stock available at BCA, while BCA manages the paperwork in the background and ensures swift delivery of all purchased vehicles from the UK to the Republic, Pearson explained.

To further aid customers, BCA recently introduced a suite of new digital tools, including upgrades to BCA Search, Partner Finance, MyBCA Selling and Online Proxy Bidding.
