Volkswagen Financial Services has launched a Europe-wide electric mobility program “Electrification-as-a-Service” (EaaS) to support the electrification of large, commercial vehicle fleets.

EaaS provides a uniform range of consulting and implementation services from a single source across national borders, according to a company statement. Fleet managers receive a modular system of coordinated services, covering the range from fleet analysis and vehicle selection, through to individualized financing and leasing offers, and the charging infrastructure.

Volkswagen Group fleet customers can choose the combination of services to fit their e-mobility needs from five different modules, including vehicle procurement, fleet strategy, operations, technology and digitalization.

The EasS collaborates with selected partners for specialized services, such as MHP Management- und IT-Beratung for consulting and IT; Volkswagen Group company Elli, charging infrastructure and renewable energies; and consultancy Intelligent Energy System Services.

Volkswagen Financial Services and Volkswagen Group Fleet International will handle EaaS vehicle procurement and full-service leasing.

Plans call for EaaS to be expanded to other markets such as France, Italy, Belgium, Spain, the UK and the Netherlands.
