Drive Software Solutions, provider of electric vehicle (EV) fleet management platforms, has named new board and executive leadership as it marks the opening of a new Swiss office and new investment by VIVA Investment Partners (VIP).
Scott Fulton has appointed board chairman for Drive. Fulton, co-chief investment officer at VIP, and a capital market professional with experience in the UK, Switzerland, and the United Arab Emirates. He will work with VIP CEO Dr. Julie Meyer, MBE, who acquisition of Drive Software Solutions in November 2019, and the subsequent repositioning of the firm towards EVs, mobility and Europe.
Khasha Mekanik, an experienced technology investor and entrepreneur, has been named Drive’s global head of business development. As part of Khasha’s role, Drive is recruiting more sales managers and function directors.
Tim Shields, a technologist who has worked in the financial services, security, and enterprise SaaS ecosystems for more than 20 years has joined Drive as chief technology officer.
Drive provides the Oracle technology-based ODO Dashboard to fleet managers, EV charging networks, and car rental companies across Europe with a particular focus on the UK. The company currently serves a base of 1.5 million vehicles.
Noting that the global automotive industry is changing rapidly, Dr. Meyer commented, “Drive is facing a plethora of opportunities to grow and develop. Utilizing the high regard in which Drive is held, the management team’s mandate is profitable growth from a wider base. It will achieve this through a combination of an improved financial structure, a broader geographic footprint, and further applications which address real-world challenges.”
