Indian auto manufacturer Maruti Suzuki has unveiled its new premier SUV, the hybrid Grand Vitara, the latest product in the Maruti-owned NEXA portfolio.
The new SUV offers a “distinct exterior design, sophisticated interiors, segment-leading features and an industry redefining fuel-efficiency powered by its revolutionary hybrid powertrains,” said the company.
The news models debut Suzuki’s Intelligent Smart Hybrid Technology and features ALLGRIP technology, according to Maruti. Fuel efficiency is reported to nearly 50 mpg (21.11 km/l).
Two electric hybrid powertrains are a 1.5L six-speed and 1.5L Next-Gen K-series Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine. An all-wheel variant is also offered: 1.5L Next-Gen K-series Dual Jet, Dual VVT.

Other Grand Vitara features include a panoramic sunroof, all-new full digital instrument cluster, driver and co-driver ventilated seats, 360-degree view camera with approaching object detection, built-in Next Gen Suzuki Connect, with remote functionalities such AC operation, vehicle safety and security, location and trips, and vehicle status/alerts.
