Mitsubishi Motors Corporation launched the new Xpander Cross, a crossover MPV with a revamped, more robust design and improved driving performance to the Indonesian market at the recent GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto.
The new Xpander Cross will be built at Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Indonesia (Bekasi, West Java) and will roll out sequentially to other markets in the ASEAN region.
The Xpander Cross is the top variant of the Xpander lineup, Mitsubishi Motors’ third best-selling model. Debuting in 2019 in Indonesia in 2019, Xpander sales have expanded to ASEAN, the Middle East, Latin America, South Asia and Africa.
“With the evolved Xpander series, we aim to further strengthen our presence in the ASEAN region, as well as contributing to Indonesia's economic growth through local production,” said Takao Kato, president and chief executive officer, Mitsubishi Motors.
The new Xpander Cross features a refreshed front and rear design and Active Yaw Control (AYC) to improve cornering performance by adjusting the braking force on the front wheels. Its interior space offers a horizontal instrument panel and an eight-inch LCD, more intuitive and easier to use.
