Effective September 1, 2022, Genesis will have a new man at the top: Lawrence Hamilton.

The luxury brand of Hyudai has appointed Hamiliton managing director following the decision by Dominique Boesch to leave the company to pursue new business opportunities.

Hamilton is a highly experienced automotive executive with extensive knowledge of the Hyundai Motor Group, starting with Kia Motors UK in 2004.

A spell in Saudi Arabia as director of marketing communications followed working for Abdul Latif Jameel Toyota 2015, before Hamilton returned to Hyundai Motor Group to lead Hyundai Auto Canada’s marketing division. In 2021, he was appointed executive director of Genesis Motors Canada.

“This is an exceptional opportunity and an exciting time to join the brand and the opportunity it has in Europe,” said Hamilton. “I am looking forward to picking up from the strong foundation Dominique and his team has built. He has launched a premium brand, in the home of premium, and the success has been a result of his hard work; we wish him every luck in his next chapter.”
