Singapore-based electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast has become the naming-rights partner for the endurance racing competition IRONMAN 2023 series in North America. The race will be titled the VinFast IRONMAN North America Series.

The all-new, all-electric VinFast eSUV VF 8s will serve as the lead race vehicle at the 2022 IRONMAN World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii October 6-8. The mid-sized eSUVs also will be displayed throughout the race venue along with VinFast’s e-scooters.

“This is the perfect opportunity for VinFast to expand its partnership with IRONMAN, as 2023 will be the year that VinFast expands its footprint across North America." said Nguyen Thi Van Anh, CEO, VinFast U.S. Manufacturing.

“VinFast's determination to provide environmentally friendly vehicles that go the distance, also demonstrates the perseverance and endurance of our athletes,” said Andrew Messick, President and Chief Executive Officer for The IRONMAN Group.

Known as one of the world's most challenging sports competitions, IRONMAN is a full-distance triathlon, including a 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bicycle ride and 26.2-mile run. The IRONMAN Group is the world’s largest operator of mass participation sports involving more than 1 million athletes annually, according to the company.
