With the Latin American telematics market poised for growth, Geotab, a global provider in connected transportation, has announced its subscriber numbers have exceeded 200,000, one of the largest fleet telematics footprint in the region.

According to the company, the milestone demonstrates the positive impact of telematics and “the recognition of the usefulness of data intelligence for strategic decision making in the transportation sector.”

Currently, telematics adoption is less than 20% in Latin America. However, according to the 12th edition of Fleet Management in the Americas report, the telematics market in the region will grow 12.6% and reach 8.5 million in 2026.

“We recognize that this region faces constant economic challenges, and we want to be its first choice to meet its needs with innovative solutions,” said Juan Cardona, Geotab vice president of sales in Latin America.

Geotab offers telematics — vehicle and asset tracking — solutions for small, medium and large fleets in 150 countries.
