International Motors Ltd (IML), an automotive distributor active in the U.K., Ireland and Northern European markets, has restructured its senior management to drive business growth.

IML currently imports the Isuzu, Subaru and GWM Ora brands into the U.K., but wants to engage with further brands to grow the business.

To support this business development, William Brown is made managing director of IML. Brown steps up from running the company’s Isuzu business for the last five years.

Commenting on the structural changes, Brown said, “As a business, we understand that the automotive landscape has changed and continues to evolve. This can be both a challenge and an opportunity for manufacturers. IML’s new strategic focus is to provide a support structure for manufacturers that helps them tailor a solution to perfectly address their unique market challenges, while leveraging our infrastructure and expertise to maximize opportunity.”

As part of the restructure, Chinese brand GWM Ora has a new managing director — Toby Marshall — who moves up from his sales and marketing director role.

Marshall said, “This exciting new brand is a perfect example of how IML can add value to manufacturers, cutting out the massive costs associated with a direct route-to-market approach. Our in-house team of experts have years of experience working with both established brands and start-ups, which means we’ve got the market knowledge and resources to launch and manage brands efficiently.”
