Residents of the San Francisco Bay Area will soon be able to skip traffic jams by booking a helicopter ride through the Voom app, Helicopter Investor reports

Voom, which is owned by Airbus, will utilize five helipads in the area: Hayward Airport, Oakland International Airport, Palo Alto Airport, San Francisco International Airport (SFO), and San Jose International Airport. The "air taxi" service will range in price from $147 for a flight from SFO into San Francisco, to $294 for an on-demand flight across the Bay Area.

The service in San Francisco follows Uber's entry into the helicopter market with Uber Air last month.

This post was updated July 2 to say that the service will launch soon.
