Uber announced that will be taking its self-driving operations to Dallas, Texas. In a blog post by the company, it says the expansion will allow data gathering and help with development of its autonomous technology.

The company also added that Dallas offers an opportunity to track different types of road networks. Including modern infrastructure, unique traffic patterns, road characteristics, and climate.

Uber has tested its autonomous vehicles in Pittsburgh, San Fransisco, and Toronto in the past. The expansion will start in November with a manual driver behind the wheel in downtown Dallas.
