General Motors is recalling an estimated 301 2019 to 2020 Chevrolet Equinox all-wheel drive vehicles because the fuel tanks may have an improperly sealed seam, which can potentially allow fuel to leak along the seam near the fuel inlet.

This situation is hazardous, as a fuel leak in the presence of the ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.

To fix the problem, GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel tank at no cost to owners.

Owners can reach GM customer service at (586) 596-1733. GM's reference number for this recall is N192271870.
