Registration for the 2019 Fleet Safety Conference is still open, and will once again be hosted at the M Resort Spa Casino in Henderson, Nev., on Oct. 28-30, located a few miles south of the Las Vegas strip.

In an industry that has always been concerned about driver safety, learning more about best practices and burgeoning technology has increasingly become an important aspect for fleets and senior management. Educational sessions at the eighth annual Fleet Safety Conference seek to aid fleet managers in keeping their drivers safe and minimizing corporate liability exposure.

For fleets that sign up soon, HDT is offering a $200 discount on passes with the promo code: MHDUTY200. The offer expires soon, so for those interested in attending, act now.

There will be educational sessions for all fleet types, with separate educational tracks for light-duty and medium-duty/heavy-duty fleets.

For heavy-duty fleets, topics at the conference will include a focus on distracted driving, electronic logging devices, the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration's Drug & Alcohol Clearing House, building relationships with drivers and much more. Information on additional sessions, and details for the conference, can be found here.

The winner of the 2019 Safety & Compliance Award will also be revealed at the conference. The award recognizes trucking executives who have demonstrated excellence in fleet safety. The award is open to fleet, risk, EHS, safety, sales and HR managers who have shown leadership, innovation, and measurable results while enhancing the safety of their drivers and others sharing the road with them.

Nominees are evaluated by a panel of industry leaders who will determine the eventual winner.
