Hyundai is recalling its three-row Palisade SUV.

Hyundai Motor America is recalling an estimated 11,217 2020 Palisade midsize SUVs for an air-bag defect. Specifically, the mounting bolts used to secure the side curtain air bags may damage the air bags during deployment.

In the event of a collision, damaged side curtain air bags may not properly inflate, increasing the risk of injury,

To fix the problem, Hyundai will notify owners, and dealers will install a protective cover on the mounting bolts, at no cost to owners.

The recall begins Jan. 3. Owners can reach Hyundai customer service at (855) 371-9460. Hyundai’s reference number for this recall is 186.
