Ford Motor Co. is recalling 2018-2019 F-250, F-350 and F-450 Super Duty trucks for an issue with the trucks' daytime running lights (DRL), which may not dim when the headlight switch is moved into the “on” position.

An estimated 88,296 vehicles are affected.

DRL that fail to dim can reduce the visibility of other drivers, increasing the likelihood of a collision.

To fix the problem, Ford has notified owners, and dealers will reprogram the body control module (BCM) software, at no cost to owners.

The recall began Nov. 25.

Owners can reach Ford customer service at (866) 436-7332.
