Manheim has promoted Joe Kichler to vice president of Manheim Logistics.

In his new role, Kichler will be responsible for overseeing business strategy and operations for the company’s leading logistics brand.

He reports to Grace Huang, president of Manheim.

“As we accelerate our digital strategy, Joe and his team will play an integral role in leading the transformation of our logistics business and technology,” said Huang. “His engaging leadership style, commitment to operational excellence and passion for delivering world-class service will contribute to a better logistics experience for our clients, auction partners and team members.”

Kichler’s key focus areas will be strengthening strategic relationships with carriers, improving on-time delivery for shippers, and positioning the operation for future growth, Manheim announced.

He will also lead Manheim’s Logistics transformation, which is aimed at addressing the shortage of transport drivers, enhancing safety and efficiencies for clients, and preparing the organization for a fast-growing digital future.

Kichler has been with Manheim since 2012, when he joined the company as vice president of Operational Excellence. In this role he oversaw the design of new auction processes and client experiences.

Most recently, Kichler served as vice president of Group Strategy, where he was responsible for strategic planning for Manheim and the Retail Solutions groups, which include Autotrader, Kelley Blue Book, and Dealertrack.
