STG Logistics, a provider of specialty 3PL services, has appointed Paul Svindland to serve as CEO. STG Chairman and Interim CEO, will continue to serve as the company’s chairman.

Svindland has 25 years of experience in the transportation and logistics industry as an executive, board member, operational leader, and consultant. He has worked in a variety of transportation modes, including ocean and air logistics, freight forwarding, intermodal, over-the-road trucking, and various 3PL services.

“Paul has a strong track record of building vibrant corporate cultures, positioning companies for growth, and driving continued performance improvement. These experiences will prove invaluable as he leads STG into its next phase of organic and inorganic expansion,” said Konrad Salaber, managing director at Wind Point.

Svindland’s prior leadership roles have ranged from managing turnaround situations, as with Celadon Group, to leading well-capitalized, growth-oriented private equity platforms like STG Logistics.

“I am thrilled to join STG and look forward to leading such a dynamic and well-positioned business,” said Svindland. “I look forward to working with the broader STG team to expand our leading 3PL platform.”

Most recently, Svindland served as CEO for both Celadon Group and Farren International, private-equity backed flatbed trucking company.
