Fleet sales in the Netherlands were down by 2,000 units year over year in January, and the overall market was down for the month as well, according to a report from Dataforce.

Despite the declines, the No. 1 selling fleet asset for the month was the Volkswagen Polo, which moved 1,203 assets to true fleets, according to Dataforce. This was followed by the Ford Focus, which sold 939 units. The third top fleet asset was the Renault Clio, which sold 717 units.

The total market in January was 44,300 units sold, which was down by 2,900. This was driven heavily by the decline seen in the fleet market. The private market, conversely, saw sales increase by 8.6%. The top asset in the private market was Kia Picanto.
