The Used Truck Association (UTA) announced that former NBA all-star Mark Eaton will deliver the keynote address at UTA's upcoming annual Convention, to be held Nov. 4-7, 2020, at the Hyatt Regency in Atlanta.

A theme of this year’s convention is standing tall and facing challenges with optimism and conviction that a brighter tomorrow will come.

Eaton, a former auto mechanic turned NBA standout, knows all about setting goals, staying optimistic, and keeping your eye on the ball at all times.

At 7’ 4” Eaton was a standout defensive player for the Utah Jazz for 12 seasons from the late 1980s through the 1990s. Since his days with the NBA, Eaton has become an entrepreneur, and is a managing partner in two award-winning restaurants in Salt Lake City.

He is the bestselling author of “The Four Commitments of a Winning Team.” As a motivational speaker, he has earned the coveted CSP (Certified Speaking Professional) designation, the speaking profession’s highest international measure of professional competence.

Eaton has spoken to many world-class organizations including IBM, FedEx, Phillips 66, Caesars Entertainment, T‑Mobile, LG, and businesses, government agencies and universities. His message centers on how organizations can incorporate the type of teamwork unique to professional sports teams to their own businesses. Such teamwork, Eaton feels, is essential to success in today’s highly competitive business environment.

Eaton’s attributes his own remarkable success, rising from auto mechanic to leading NBA defensive All-Star, to the teamwork principles he now teaches.

Register early for this year's Convention to reserve your spot and take advantage of early bird registration pricing.
