“North America’s Biggest Bus Show” offers attendees more than just buses, including a packed show floor of products, the Transit Maintenance Forum, and top-notch educational programming. Keynote Address will discuss connected and autonomous vehicle technologies and their potential impact on transportation.
The event, held at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis Sept. 19 to 21, featured an expanded show floor and educational sessions touching on everything from electric buses to how to implement a succession plan.
Several manufacturers unveiled new vehicles, including ABC Companies and Micro Bird Commercial, as well as those new to the U.S. market by Karsan and Indbus. All told, 145 exhibitors, with more than 50 new to the annual event, packed the show floor.
Held for the first time in Indianapolis, this year’s event featured several electric and new propane autogas vehicle debuts, while in the classroom, safety was a major focus, with sessions discussing technology integration and training.
More than 145 exhibitors showcased products and 64 vehicles were on display, including an unprecedented four electric vehicles. Safety and paratransit were major topics of focus in the educational sessions, which featured an expanded program this year.

While a bevy of vehicle manufacturers showcased their hybrid models on the show floor, industry experts discussed alternative-fuel options, 2010 engine emissions standards and steps to achieve better fuel economy.
