Global auto sales company Cox Automotive and ActivEngage, a messaging platform provider, have partnered to streamline communications between Cox Automotive brands and customers, personalize the car buying experience, and increase overall dealer sales, according to a recent Cox statement.

ActivEngage managed messaging and customer engagement products are available through Cox Automotive Digital Retailing brands, including Dealer.com, Autotrader, Kelley Blue Book, and VinSolutions.

Customers have 24/7 access to live, trained automotive personnel at any stage of the car-buying process, from vehicle availability verification and deal completion to service appointments and trade-in valuations, according to James Maynard, SVP of Product for Dealer Software Solutions at Cox Automotive.

"We've discovered that statistically, customers move through any process faster and more fluidly with a real person helping guide them through it,” said Ted Rubin, ActivEngage CEO and founder.

With an all-in-one platform, dealers can integrate chat, text and social media conversations. “Based on ActivEngage's data, 80% of their conversations produce actionable leads for dealers, said Maynard.
