
Vietnamese carmaker VinFast’s newest electric SUVs feature the work of Italian automotive design house Torino Design.

Vietnamese automaker VinFast has unveiled the interior and exterior details of two electric SUVs – the VF 6 and VF 7 – featuring the work of Italian automotive design house Torino Design. Highlighted at last week’s Los Angeles International Auto Show, the two new models join VinFast’s VF 8 and VF 9 SUVs launched in 2021.
The midsize VF 7 combines “dynamic, avant-garde exterior styling with a modern, driver-oriented and tech-forward cabin experience,” according to a company description. The VF 7 Eco provides 201 hp/150 kW and VF 7 Plus provides 349 hp/260kW. The VF 7 Plus also features all-wheel drive.
A smaller EV crossover, the VF 6’s “modern, spacious interior layout” boasts entertainment features integrated into the large, centrally mounted touchscreen interface interior .The model’s Eco version provides 174 hp/130kW and the Plus version provides 201 hp/150 kW.
Like other VinFast EVs, both the VF 6 and VF 7 will include a full suite of active and passive safety features and are backed by VinFast’s 10-year warranty and a 10-year/unlimited mileage or lifetime warranty on the EV battery, along with 24/7 flexible maintenance, rescue and repair services.
VinFast, a member of the southeast Asian conglomerate Vingroup, was established in 2017. Headquartered in Singpore, the EV producer operates an automotive manufacturing complex with that boasts up to 90% automation in Hai Phong, Vietnam.
